Maruti Suzuki Celerio On Road Price in Bangalore

Celerio On Road Price in Bangalore

The Celerio, Maruti Suzuki’s most recently updated small car that debuted in 2008. According to industry accounts, the Celerio was initially sold as a rebadged Alto or A-Star in some areas, but it was eventually transformed into a global marque, and by 2014, it had even superseded the A-Star.

Maruti’s powerful defence began last month with the release of the second generation Celerio.

So, what exactly is new with the Celerio hatchback? To begin with, it receives a fresh new engine, as well as nifty design changes that give it a  prettier profile, updated interiors, and a slew of new functionality.

The car feels a little sluggish at times, with around 67 bhp (brake horsepower), and might need a larger boost of power in particular driving conditions.

The engine is available with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT transmission, with the latter being available on all trim levels save the base LXI. In terms of driving, having an automatic of any kind is useful in congested Indian cities, but drivers looking for consistent power and torque distribution will be disappointed.

Even so, it’s worth noting the advancements in automotive technology, such as keyless entry, automatic transmission, driver seat height adjustment, electrically adjustable mirrors, steering-mounted audio controls, and front and rear power windows.

The new Celerio is 55 mm wider and taller than the previous model, giving it better ground clearance while still sharing its underpinnings and manufacturing platform with Maruti’s Wagon R, Swift, and Baleno.

Getting in and out is simple thanks to the car’s low profile, and passengers will like the seat height adjustable option. The front seats, like those in previous Celerios, have single-piece backrests with built-in headrests and are reasonably comfortable.

Features of the new 2022 Maruti Suzuki Celerio

Engine Alternatives

  • The Celerio now has a 1.0L 3-cylinder K10 petrol engine that produces 67 hp and 90Nm torque. According to rumours, Maruti Suzuki will introduce a new 1.2L K12 petrol engine with 82bhp and 113 Nm torque. Both engines will be coupled to a 5-speed manual or an AMT transmission.
  • Given the rising cost of fuel, this is a very fuel-efficient hatchback with a mileage of roughly 22kmpl. It will also come with a factory-installed CNG kit that decreases power to 58 hp and torque to 78Nm while maintaining a 30kmpl average.

Exterior Specifications

  • With a redesigned oval front grille with a honeycomb pattern, the 2017 Celerio gets a new overall front look. The bumper has been modified with triangular headlamps, and the bonnet has been raised.
  • It also receives larger ORVMs with integrated turn indicators. A chrome strip runs over the front grille, and the fog lamp housings have black accents for contrast. A significantly lower roofline and wrap-around taillights give it a sportier look. The tailgate has been redesigned and contoured with smoother curves.
  • It rides on new multi-spoke alloy wheels with bigger windows and angular side cuts.

Interiors

  • With a 7-inch touchscreen entertainment system, the interior is supposed to be more premium. A multi-function steering wheel will be included, as well as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It’ll also include additional comfort features and more luxury upholstery.

Platform Heartect

  • The new Celerio is built on Maruti Suzuki’s Heartect platform, which places a premium on vehicle safety. The hatchback is supposed to be more solid and safer than previous models, and the new platform will provide improved crash protection.

Safety Features

Celerio achieved a 0 out of 5 star rating in Global NCAP crash tests. With two airbags, ABS, and EBD, the next generation is expected to do even more. MID, reverse parking sensors, speed alerts, and electrically adjustable ORVMs will all be standard. Finally, Suzuki Connect will give the customer real-time vehicle updates and driving analysis.

Performance and riding qualities of Maruti Suzuki Celerio

  • To begin, let’s clarify that the Celerio’s primary purpose is to whizz around town, not to compete in drag races. As a result, we’ll approach the car in this manner and see how it performs. The engine is smooth at first, but it becomes harsh as the revs increase. The power delivery is more linear, and the car, despite reaching speeds of more than 120 kmph, takes its time. The automobile, on the other hand, feels smooth and quiet when driven around town at 2,000rpm. Not to mention that the Celerio will be pleased to provide you with good fuel economy when driving in this manner.
  • The AGS, which is a significant improvement over previous Maruti Suzuki models, is the other major update. Shifts are smoother, and there are no dips in the transmission as it shifts. The mechanism is now more responsive, and downshifts arrive faster, making acceleration easier. It also has a manual mode for when things go a little crazy. The revs are held higher in this mode, releasing the full potential of the 1.0-litre. When it comes to the manual transmission, we’re delighted to inform you that the shifts are smooth and that no gears need to be found. The clutch action is light, as it should be in a city car, making traffic driving a breeze.
  • The story repeats itself when it comes to the ride’s quality. The Celerio’s suspension will absorb effectively and keep passengers pleased if you drive it gently and smoothly. However, if you accelerate quickly over a speed hump, the suspension will likely crash. The steering system has also been improved. It’s also light enough for the driver to park and make U-turns without difficulty.
