Har Ghar Tiranga: 75th Independance Day

Har Garh Tiranga

India will be celebrating the 75th Independence Day this August 15, 2022. In preparation for the nation’s 75th Independence Day festivities, PM Modi updated his profile photo on his social media accounts on August 2 to the image of Tiranga.

PM Modi’s Tweet

“It is a special August 2 today! At a time when we are marking Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, our nation is all set for #HarGharTiranga, a collective movement to celebrate our Tricolour. I have changed the DP on my social media pages and urge you all to do the same,” PM Modi tweeted today.

About “Har Ghar Tiranga”

On Sunday, in his monthly radio address, “Mann ki Baat,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged the listeners to support the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign by flying the tricolor in their homes or using it as a social media profile image. As a part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, the government launched the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi invited the listeners to embrace the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign by displaying the national tricolor in their homes or using it as their social media profile picture in his monthly radio address, “Mann ki Baat,” which airs on India’s national radio station. Government officials introduced the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign as a part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. August 2 is the birth anniversary of Pingali Venkhaiya, who designed the national flag, so on that day, the PM urged the entire nation to use “tiranga” on their profile picture.

This initiative’s participatory style encourages more individuals to attend the event. To demonstrate to the world that India has “risen from slumber” and is moving in the direction toward becoming a “mighty” power, Amit Shah implored people to engage in the “Har Ghar Tiranga” program with more zeal.

“Since 2014, the stature of India has grown abroad, and the respect for the Indian flag has increased globally. On any problem that arises in the world, until PM Modi has made his statement, the world does not decide its thoughts on it,” says Amit Shah.

India is about to experience a remarkable and significant epoch as it marks 75 years of Independence, stated PM Modi.

“My dear countrymen, today we started our discussion on 75 years of Independence with a visit across the country. The next time we meet, the journey of our next 25 years will have already begun. We all must join for our beloved Tricolour to be hoisted at our homes and those of our loved ones. Do share with me how you celebrated Independence Day and if you did anything special, this time. Next time, we will talk again about the different colors of our Amrit Parv. Till then, I will take leave of you. Thank you very much,” said PM Modi.

This Mahotsav is dedicated to the citizens of India who, in addition to playing a significant role in the evolution of India to this point, also possess the strength and capacity to realize Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a fully realized India 2.0, infused with the spirit of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.

On March 12, 2021, the official Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav trip began. This marked the beginning of the 75-week countdown to our nation’s 75th anniversary of Independence. The journey will conclude on August 15, 2023, after one year.

For what purpose was Har Ghar Tiranga introduced?

Har Ghar Tiranga was established to commemorate Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav and to inspire people to carry their national flag home and fly it to celebrate India’s 75th anniversary of Independence.

According to the administration, the goal is to forge a personal bond with the flag and have it stand for togetherness in the country. The main aim of this nationwide campaign is to instill a sense of patriotism and raise public awareness of the flag.
